Description: 18 holes, par 72. Undoubtedly the ‘classiest’ course in the area; opened in 2009 it is operated by the Santiburi group who run several high class courses in different parts of Thailand. Built on waste land near the Singha Brewery it is obvious a large amount of money was allocated to its construction; many courses are described as ‘championship standard’ in their advertising, but this course has already hosted 2 Asian Tour events within 18 months of opening. There are 4 sets of tees: ladies (red 5258 yards); men’s front (white 6211 yards); men’s back (blue 6840 yards); championship (black 7502 yards). Fairways, greens and bunkers are all of an excellent standard, but the course is very open and even if not on the fairway there is little trouble, apart from length of grass. Water hazards abound but depending upon accuracy of shot and tees used will not cause too many problems. The course’s main challenge is its length and the numerous bunkers that abound. A notable omission is the lack of information on the tee; there is no marker indicating which hole you are about to play, the par, or the distance; keep your card handy if you need these details. They do operate a booking system for tee times and, although rarely busy, a phone call is all that is needed to secure your start time.

In keeping with the rest of the course the club house is excellent; the locker rooms and showers are probably the best in Isaan, we know of no other course that has plate glass windows on the outside of the shower looking toward the practice area! The bar and restaurant areas continue the ‘first class’ theme offering a wide range of fare.

Located about 20mins drive from the centre of Khon Kaen, we are sure all will enjoy this course and for the visitor it is one not to miss.
